Working Age Programme
Organisations can refer to this service via MARS

Vision Support Barrow & District’s Working Age Programme aims to support local people with vision impairments seeking employment, empowering and enabling them to enter & thrive in the workplace.
Our Working Age Programme Project Co-ordinator, Nicky Bragg, will be offering 1:1 support and working in partnership with other local charities and organisations.
To provide support to working age people (16-67 year olds) with vision impairments we will also be hosting a monthly drop-in at The Bridge on Portland Walk.
We’re happy to support you in various ways including:
- Finding individual skills
- Helping to access training
- Support for CVs
- Assisting in identifying employment options
- Interview coaching
- Building confidence
- Volunteer signposting
- Access to Work support
- Promoting employer vision impairment awareness
- Peer support at our Working Age Forum
- Drop-in workshops at The Bridge on Portland Walk
Our Working Age Programme is kindly funded by the Eric Wright Charitable Trust.
