Halifax Society for the Blind is one of Calderdale’s oldest charities and has been supporting people with sight loss since 1888.
We provide practical support and advice to people with a visually impaired in the Calderdale area. We have a town centre location with a social engagement cafe, and Sight Centre complete with aids such as magnifiers, talking watches, and much more. Our Sight Support Advisors are on hand to provide any help or advice you may be looking for. Drop in between 10:00am-2:00pm, or call our office to book an appointment outside of these hours.
We facilitate a variety of online and offiline groups for our members to engage with, such as coffee & chat groups, games group, craft group, bowling, working age group, technology group, and our fully online group Zoomers.
