Role Description
The Forum is a multipurpose venue with a wide ranging programme including comedy, cinema, live performances, occasional sporting events, and conferences. For most events we need people to sell tickets or hand out pre-ordered tickets to audiences as they arrive. The Box Office is also the first point of contact for many people as they arrive at the Forum; other duties include answering the phone and responding to enquiries. There is always a Manager available to help and give guidance and training is provided.
There are two different voluntary roles for our box office - daytime reception and show time box office. So, whether you can spare an afternoon every week or an hour or two every now and then, there could be a box office role for you.
Application Process
The first step is to fill in a Volunteer Interest Form. This can be downloaded from our website (www.forumnorthallerton.org.uk) in the 'Get Involved' section or this website. You can also pick up a copy at the Box Office or email [email protected] to request one to be sent to you. This can then be returned to us via email, post or in person.
Once we have received your completed form, we will then invite you in for an informal chat to get to know you better and to familiarise you with the roles on offer and the venue. This is organised based on your availability, but we will generally be in touch no later than two weeks after we have received your form.
