Volunteer Role

If you're a people-person and love being surrounded by entertainment, then this is the perfect volunteer role for you. If you’ve visited us before you might have spotted them at the front of the theatre! The main purpose of our stewards is to ensure the audience have a remarkable time at the Forum.

The Forum is a multipurpose venue with a wide-ranging programme including live performances, cinema, dance, presentations, and live satellite transmissions from the National Theatre, Royal Opera House, and Royal Shakespeare Company. We need front of house stewards to ensure the audience's wellbeing during events (we are required by the licence conditions to have a front of house presence to deal with emergencies), to welcome audiences and enhance their experience of visiting the Forum, to check tickets and assist people to their seats as necessary, and to maximise revenue for the Forum by selling refreshments, programmes, ice creams, etc.

Shifts vary according to The Forum's programme of events and bookings.

The first step is to fill in a Volunteer Interest Form. This can be downloaded from our website (www.forumnorthallerton.org.uk) in the 'Get Involved' section or this website. You can also pick up a copy at the Box Office or email [email protected] to request one to be sent to you. This can then be returned to us via email, post or in person. Once we have received your completed form, we will then invite you in for an informal chat to get to know you better and to familiarise you with the roles on offer and the venue. This is organised based on your availability, but we will generally be in touch no later than two weeks after we have received your form.
