U3A Northallerton
Hambleton
Richmondshire
The u3a in Northallerton forms part of the national u3a organisation which has over 1,000 branches across the UK and over 400,000 members.
The u3a is a charity and a self-help learning organisation run by the members in each branch. The u3a is predominantly for those who have retired, are semi-retired or work part-time, and live in the Northallerton area.
The purpose of the u3a is to enrich members' lives with new skills and experiences, pursue new interests,
form new friends and enjoy a sense of belonging to a vibrant and thriving community.
In Northallerton, members are offered a choice of over 40 different groups for a nominal annual fee of £30 [2024], which covers membership of the vast majority of groups, at no extra cost, and a monthly meeting in the Forum in Northallerton with interesting speakers.
Our groups cover arts and crafts, discussion and languages, music and singing, trips out and walking groups, hobbies, indoor activities and sports and exercise.
Our mantra is to learn, laugh and live life to the full.
