Bedale Community Library is located in Bedale Hall. The library has been run by volunteers since April 2017 and provides many key services to local residents and to visitors to the town. We offer many services including class visits from local schools and reading competitions. We also have a large range of books, E-books, magazines, CDs and DVDs available to borrow, and much more.

Local Interest. Subjects include North Yorkshire and Yorkshire authors.
Local newspapers, including Darlington & Stockton Times and Northern Echo.
Photocopier. Prices per sheet: A4 B&W 10p, Colour 50p. A3 B&W 25p, Colour £1.
HLS - (Home Library Service) A free service for people of all ages who are unable to get to the library or carry books themselves
In addition we run a StoryTime session on Friday afternoons from 2.15pm-2.45pm for pre-schoolers. Activities for children take place during school holidays.
There is a Citizens' Advice drop in on Tuesday 10am-12.30pm
