Evolve Recovery Homes is a registered charitable incorporated organisation registered on 25/10/2022 with the registration number 1200813. The charity currently has 3 trustees, the CEO and 5 volunteers. We are based in Queensbury Bradford.
Evolve is a new service set up specifically to offer places to women who are wanting to live free from addiction, domestic abuse, crime, and homelessness. Evolve mirrors similar services in the area that are currently supporting men. Evolve is the only project in the area providing this service specifically to women.
We are a lived experience recovery organisation, and the founder and CEO has lived through addiction and recovery herself. For many years she has worked with those who are struggling, especially women, with addiction and other life controlling issues.
Likewise, each trustee has also experienced the effects of addiction and related issues and has a deep understanding of what it takes to help support through addiction to on-going recovery. The trustees and founder of evolve collectively have over 35 years’ experience working in services that support people living through substance abuse, homelessness, domestic abuse, mental health, physical health concerns, historical abuse and being part of the criminal justice system. We are now in a position to house up to 9 women at any one time across 4 properties.
Evolve provides supported housing, we have created safe, homely and supportive environments for women who wish to recover from alcohol or drug addiction. This provision is for women who may have experienced domestic abuse or violence, may have contact with the criminal justice system, been affected by homelessness or who may have mental and physical health concerns. We will provide homes that are fully furnished and provide support sessions to build a plan of care that encompasses recovery focused activities in the community and improve access to primary care services such as:
GP surgeries
