Community Catalysts
Cumberland
Westmorland and Furness
Community Catalysts are a social enterprise working across the UK, to support local people to use their skills and talents, to help other local people that may need support to live the life they want.
We are running free development programmes across Allerdale, Copeland, South Lakes and Eden to help local people to get set up working for themselves offering care and support to older and disabled people in their community. The programme is funded and run in partnership with Cumberland Council and Westmorland and Furness Council. For more information about the programme contact your local Catalyst on the details below:

We can help people get set up as self-employed, set up a social enterprise, as well as working with existing enterprises to develop or diversify their offer. People might offer support with dressing and washing, cleaning, cooking, shopping, trips out, sitting and chatting, DIY, gardening or more. People can earn money, help their community, and work flexibly around family or other commitments.
Our development programme can help people to:
* Follow the right rules and regulations to ensure people follow best practice
* Support with thinking about marketing and communications planning
* Feel part of a community by connecting with other enterprises
* Link in with other organisations that can support e.g. business support
* Link in with Health and Social Care teams to build a client base
* Help to access training opportunities to increase skill level
* Learn about funding opportunities
