Yorkshire MESMAC is one of the oldest and largest sexual health organisations in the country. We offer services to various communities across Yorkshire, including men who have sex with men, people of colour and other marginalised races, people misusing drugs, sex workers and LGBT+ young people and adults.

HIV & STI testing services in North Yorkshire
We offer fast, free and confidential HIV tests. We also offer home testing kits to gay, bisexual and men who have sex with men only. These kits test for HIV, Syphilis, Gonorrhoea and Chlamydia.
These tests involve taking your own samples and sending them off in the post.
COVID-19 UPDATE:
We are offering face to face HIV/STI testing. Here's what to expect when booking and attending your test:
All tests must be booked online.
A pre-test discussion will be held over the phone before you are invited to the office.
Please wear a face covering when entering our buildings (we can provide these for you if you haven't got one).
Please arrive to your appointment on time and do not bring others into the building. There will be no waiting rooms available.

1-2-1 support
Our Community Development Workers in North Yorkshire provide 1-2-1 support for those times when you feel like you want to talk to someone in a safe, confidential and supportive environment.

Counselling
We offer free and confidential counselling in Craven to:
Gay, Bisexual and men who have sex with men.
Female partners of men who are attracted to men.
Couples: both gay male couples and male/female couples, where the male partner is attracted to men.
Young people (16-25 years) who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans or questioning their sexual orientation or gender.
People living with HIV and their partners.
Women who identify as Lesbian, Bisexual or who are questioning their sexual orientation.
Trans communities and people who are questioning their gender.

LGBTQ+ Youth Group
A youth group for LGBTQ+ people in Harrogate/Craven area aged 14-19.
Online session. Every other Thursday, 5pm-6:30pm.
