Yorkshire MESMAC is one of the oldest and largest sexual health organisations in the country. We offer services to various communities across Yorkshire, including men who have sex with men, people of colour and other marginalised races, people misusing drugs, sex workers and LGBT+ young people and adults.

Testing Services
In Bradford we offer fast free and confidential HIV and Syphilis testing, and results in 5 minutes.
COVID-19 UPDATE:
We are offering face to face HIV/STI testing. Here's what to expect when booking and attending your test:
All tests must be booked online via the website
A pre-test discussion will be held over the phone before you are invited to the office.
Please wear a face covering when entering our buildings (we can provide these for you if you haven't got one).
Please arrive to your appointment on time and do not bring others into the building. There will be no waiting rooms available.
Any other 121/group support will continue over the phone/online.

HIV social support
The OUR project provides social support and advocacy for people living with or affected by HIV in Bradford. This includes 1-2-1 support, support groups and courses.

1-2-1 support
Our Community Development Workers provide 1-2-1 support for those times when you feel like you need to talk to someone in a safe, confidential and supportive environment.

Counselling
We offer free and confidential counselling in Bradford to:
Gay, Bisexual and men who have sex with men.
Female partners of men who are attracted to men.
Couples: both gay male couples and male/female couples, where the male partner is attracted to men.
Young people (16-25 years) who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans or questioning their sexual orientation or gender.
People living with HIV and their partners.
Women who identify as Lesbian, Bisexual or who are questioning their sexual orientation.
Trans communities and people who are questioning their gender.

LGBT+ youth
LGB&T youth groups are a great place to meet and socialise with other young people in a safe environment. BLAGY is Bradford's LGBTQ+ youth group. It is a social and support group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans people under the age of 25, they meet weekly on a Wednesday evening.

Well-being support groups and therapeutic workshops
Our counselling co-ordinator, along with trained peer mentors facilitate various workshops and a weekly support group for LGBT+ people to help improve mental health and resilience.

Training

Condoms & lube
Yorkshire MESMAC supplies free condoms and lube to communities in Bradford.
