With the aim of encouraging them to implement policies and practices which will eliminate discrimination and promote equality of opportunity, and good relations, between persons of different equality groups.
We help organizations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to implement best practice policies that promote equality through one to one advice, training and partnership work. We provide advice and advocacy on a whole range of practical issues including positive action, cultural diversity, legal obligations, and race equality schemes, including how to implement equalities monitoring tools and business structures.
Policy, changes practice and so it is important that we influence as much as possible to ensure equality and diversity issues remain high on the agenda. As a micro organization the best way we can do that is to work in partnerships and so we play an active role on a number of partnerships across the area. Issues that are brought to our attention are raised throw democratic processes around the decision making process and also through business structure such as complaint’s, lobbying, research and mapping.
Our consultancy service can cater for all your equality and diversity needs. We can provide detailed advice and support around all areas of equality and diversity and help implement those recommendations. We have experience of conducting equality audits as well as research on seldom heard communities
We have an experienced team of staff and associates, who are able to provide training on a wide range of issues. Topics include:
• Cultural awareness
• Specialist advocacy
• Equality impact assessment
• Research and mapping
• Equality legislation and requirements
• General equal opportunities/diversity
• Employability skills
We pride ourselves on ensuring that each training and projects is tailored to the individual client’s needs. We do not run ‘off the shelf’ projects – all our training evidenced based, costs include initial discussions with the client to ensure that the materials we use will generate the outcome they need.
