Here at the Adult Learning and Skills Service we provide a variety of courses to suit the needs of adults across North Yorkshire. We are a government funded training provider and are part of the North Yorkshire County Council’s Educational and Skills department.
Whether you are considering a return to education, looking to enhance your career development, an employer seeking training for your employees, or simply want to learn for leisure – we have a course for you.
We offer a range of courses for you to:

Our courses are part time and are available as daytime or evening classes so you can update your skills around your lifestyle. To help make learning affordable for everyone, reduced fees are available and some of our courses which support employment skills are FREE if you are unemployed, receiving state benefits and actively seeking work.
We offer FREE courses up to level 2 if you earn less than £16,009.50 annual gross salary – see page 6 for more details. It is not like going back to school, it is about progressing forward and learning in a relaxed setting with like-minded people.
