Lower House Sensory Farm is a dementia friendly space located on our small holding. We offer two hour farm based activity sessions to those being cared for in their own home, who attend day-care centre and who are in residential care.
We are closed for the season and will look at opening in Spring 2022.
Whilst looking at ways to provide different activities, we have begun to take our small animals on visits to groups and care homes!
Activities can range from exploring the outdoor space, gardening, interacting with the animals, watching the wildlife, feeding the poultry and petting small animals. There are eggs to collect, ponies to stroke, allotment spaces with produce to pick and tend to and polytunnels to potter around in.
