Grassington Community Transport provides access to social activities and health services for rurally isolated older & vulnerable people, local social groups, and residents of Upper Wharfedale, which has a population of approximately 1,900 (UK 2011 census).
Our aim is that people feel less isolated and better able to access local services & activities through our community transport provision.
Our current services include:
• transport for schools, sports groups, social groups, & community groups
• shopping trips & social outings
• volunteer transport service taking patients to medical appointments
• transport to and from Grassington Luncheon Club
• individual door-to-door services for passengers with mobility problems or who live in isolated areas
• partnership working with local social / sports groups to provide trained drivers from members of these groups
