Settle Hub supports social connectivity in a rural community and provides a physical
base where individuals, charities, businesses and local groups can meet, obtain and
share information. We have found this leads to the generation of ideas, engagement,
connection and participation.
We work closely with a wide range of local businesses, charities and other
organisations.
Our key activities are currently :
- Allotment project
- Community fridge
- Waste food cook up sessions on Mondays at Settle Quakers
- Support group meet ups on Thursdays at Settle Quakers
- Weekly online Action for Happiness group
- Mens Group in partnership with Age UK
- Hosting monthly COBRA meetings on zoom for Settle organisations
- Business support, training and liaison with other business organisations
- Barclays rural banking service
