Age UK North Craven promotes the well-being of older people in the North Craven area.
Our aim is make later life in North Craven a fulfilling and enjoyable experience, reducing isolation and loneliness, and providing the right support at the right time for older people
We are an independent charity no. 1141867 with a small staff team and almost 200 volunteers
We provide a range of high-quality direct services including:
Door to door minibus transport to the local shops and social clubs in Settle and Kirkby Lonsdale
Volunteer car transport to medical health and welfare appointments.
In depth information and advice on a range of topics such as welfare benefits, housing options and care providers.
One to one support during life changes such as a change in health, bereavement or hospital stay.
Volunteer befrienders and buddies to chat with over a cuppa or accompany you to a social group.
A network of social and lunch clubs, activity and special interest groups which keep you in touch with friends, provide companionship and new experiences.
