SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING ASSISTANT - Closing date Friday 27 Aug 2021
Working within the Veterans Community Hub in Newton Aycliffe.
This will be a wide-ranging role with significant opportunities working closely with the Executive team and Support Team at Sporting Force as well as with 3rd party providers of marketing and PR services.
The Social Media role will provide information and advertise events for a caseload including:-
Armed forces veterans and their families, Serving personnel and their families, Serving North East reservists and their families, Ex- Blue Light Emergency Services and their families.
Be responsible for maintaining the photo and video library. Weekly newsletter via Mailchimp reporting on the week’s activity and promoting up coming events.
Advertising up coming events: Premiership Football Club Open Days including Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Leeds and other clubs across the leagues.
Rugby and Cricket events and free tickets. Karting 24hr Endurance Race, UK Challenge 2022 in the Isle of Man, Music At Ease Festival.
Attend some events – take photos, live feeds on social media, posts whilst the events are running.
Create after event posts with the delivery staff using their content and photos.
Working closely with the rest of the Sporting Force team, the Social Media Assistant will run the day to day management and create a schedule of social media posts.
Create a social media annual calendar highlighting important days and dates, across all our platforms with appropriate material and content. Improve our current social media outputs also integrate our fundraising and volunteer activities online, build our audience and promote our brand online.
